The 36 year old man was arrested in the Italian town of Naples after he stabbed two people and later resisted arrest.
The incident occurred in the district of Montecalvario, where the man lives with his wife and a friend, Ilmattino.it reported today.
Following a dispute with two men in his house he had stabbed both of them and run away. Both the 30 and 33 year old men had reported the incident to the police on being admitted to hospital.
The Sri Lankan man was arrested during his attempt to flee and following a body search a long knife stained with blood was found in his possession.
His wife had told the police that the attack took place following an argument between her and her husband about the food he did not like.
Her brothers, the two men who were stabbed, intervened after they feared she was about to be assaulted by her husband. The two men were then stabbed. (Colombo Gazette)
